School Governance

Shared Decision Making Council adheres to the mandates of the LAUSD/UTLA Collective Bargaining Agreement. SDM is comprised of representative members (teachers, UTLA representative, parents, students, classified staff, and the principal). This council has purview over student discipline, professional development, bell schedules, school equipment and technology, and several general fund budgets, including the Instructional Materials Account (IMA), textbooks/materials, and the School-Determined Needs Account.

School Site Council is responsible for developing, approving and annually revising the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). The Council oversees the site-based budgeting of categorical funds (State and Federal monies). The Council is comprised of school employees, parents, and students that are elected to the council. Specific tasks of the SSC are to: review and analyze student data, approve the annual school site budget, monitor the implementation and effectiveness of the academic plan on an ongoing basis.

The English Learner Advisory Committee is comprised of parents, staff, and community members specifically designated to advise school officials on English Learner program services.  For meeting times and agenda View here.

 School-Parent Compact for Achievement

 What is a School-Parent Compact?  A School-Parent Compact for Achievement is an agreement that parents, students, and teachers develop together. It explains how parents and teachers will work together to make sure all our students reach or exceed grade-level standards. Jointly Developed The parents, students, and staff discussed learning needs based on current data. Parents and students identify ways to support students in reaching their learning goals. This compact represents the community we serve and the students we educate. Parents are welcome to contribute comments at any time. More information can be found on the links to the right.
